Pelion Villages | Admire the simplicity

The villages of Pelion are the essence of Greek beauty. Its simplicity, smells, plantations, flavors, colors, un spoilt (and non-commercial) seashore, taverns, the plane trees in the center of the village, the olive groves, apples and chestnuts, the tranquility that can only be found here.

Calm west Pelion

Pelion is a paradise for quiet and peaceful seekers, for those who enjoy the little things of life. Not tired of looking at the sea at sunrise or sunset and between, and dipping inside all over again.

For those who indulge in fresh fish with fried zucchini, tsiziki and a beer, and not looking for sophisticated gourmet food. For those who have children who are capable of keeping themselves busy for several days, and not in an exhausting pursuit of attractions.

In west Pelion, the villages are located on the serene costal side of Pagasitikos Bay, or slightly uphill and from there - the views of the deep blue sea are amazing.

It is worth visiting the villages of Kala Nera, Kato Gatzea, Affisos and the beaches next to it,and the mountains villages of Milia,Agios Georgios, Visitzia. It is recommended to get to the most southern spot of Pelion, Trikeri village, and feel like on an isolated islans surrounded by the Aegean sea.

From the beach House it is a 40-minute drive to mountain villages Portaria and Makrinitza. 2 rural north of the island villages, that provide sights and stunning views of the city of Volos and the great Pagasitikos gulf.

On the east side, beyond Mount Pelion, which reaches on its high summit to a height of about 1600 meters, the villages are usually located on the mountain, and enjoy breathtaking views of the huge Aegean sea, that its steep slopes that meets the yellow sand beaches. The villages of Tsgarada, Kissos and Zagora overlook this wonderful coastal strip.

Sea to the sea can be reached in 1 hour's drive to the legendary Damouchari and Milopotamos beaches in the north-east, and an hour and a half to Chorefto beach. 45 minutes is what it takes to go to more virgin beaches of south-east Pelion such as Potistika or Melani beach.
